1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to DestinyPal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Paul Rhee (individual) ("DestinyPal", "we") that governs your access to and use of our website, mobile apps, and services (the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

'Service': the DestinyPal platform (web, mobile, features, content, and services) 'User'/'Member': anyone who creates an account or uses the Service 'Content': information, data, text, software, media, readings, interpretations, or other materials 'User Content': Content you submit/upload/transmit via the Service 'Paid Services': premium features, subscriptions, individual readings, or other paid items 'Account': your registered user account on the Service
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
Age: You must be 14+ (16 in EU or local age of consent). If under 18, you confirm parental/guardian consent. Account Creation: Provide accurate, current, complete info (email, password, display name; optional birth info for personalized readings). Security: You are responsible for credential confidentiality, all activity on your account, prompt notice of unauthorized use, and not sharing accounts. Accuracy: Provide truthful info and keep it updated. We may suspend/terminate inaccurate or misleading accounts. 3rd-party Auth: You may register with Google OAuth or other providers; their terms and privacy apply.
4. Description of Service
DestinyPal offers AI-powered divination/self-reflection services: - Astrology: birth charts, transits, compatibility - Saju (Four Pillars) - Tarot - Destiny Map (multi-system fusion) - Dream interpretation - Numerology - Compatibility analysis - I Ching Nature of Service: Readings are AI-assisted, for entertainment/self-reflection/personal growth; not professional advice. Accuracy depends on the info you provide.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
Do NOT: break laws; infringe IP; harass/abuse; impersonate; run bots/scrapers without permission; gain unauthorized access; disrupt the Service; upload malware; collect data without consent; reverse engineer; use commercially without authorization; share/resell readings; bypass paywalls/rate limits. Content: no illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, violent, or discriminatory material; no spam. Violations may lead to suspension/termination and legal action.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
DestinyPal Content: software, algorithms/AI models, design/graphics/logos, templates/interpretation frameworks, educational content, UI/UX are owned by DestinyPal or licensors and protected by IP laws. Proprietary Tech - Destiny Fusion Matrix™: multi-layer cross-reference system (1,206 cells, scoring/weights, fusion methods, data structures). Reverse engineering or extraction is strictly prohibited. User Content License: You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use/display/distribute/modify/adapt your User Content, create derivatives, improve services/AI, and use anonymized data for analytics/research. You retain ownership and warrant you have rights to grant this license. Reading Results: for your personal, non-commercial use; do not redistribute/resell/publicly share without permission. Trademarks: “DestinyPal”, “Destiny Fusion Matrix”, and related marks belong to Paul Rhee; prior written consent required for use.
7. Paid Services and Billing
Payment Processing: All payments are handled via Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1). We do not store full card numbers. Pricing: Displayed at checkout; may change with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers. Subscriptions: Monthly/annual plans auto-renew until canceled. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in account settings. Refunds (see Refund Policy): - Credit packs: refundable within 7 days only if 0 credits used; partially used packs are non-refundable. - Subscriptions: first-time subscribers have a 7-day guarantee (used monthly credits deducted at Mini-pack rate); renewals are non-refundable. - AI readings: non-refundable once generated. - Duplicates/unauthorized/complete service failure follow Refund Policy exceptions. Free Trials: Trials auto-convert unless canceled before expiry. Payment Failures: Failed renewals may suspend access; repeated failures may cancel the account. Taxes: You are responsible for applicable taxes added at checkout.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Not Professional Advice: Readings are not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or therapeutic advice, nor guaranteed predictions. AI Limits: AI output may contain errors or be inappropriate; no accuracy guarantee. No Warranties: Service is provided “AS IS”/“AS AVAILABLE” without warranties (merchantability, fitness, non-infringement, uninterrupted/error-free, accuracy). Liability Limit: To the extent allowed by law, our total liability is capped at the greater of what you paid in the last 3 months or $100; no indirect/incidental/consequential/punitive/special damages; no liability for lost profits/data/goodwill/opportunities or decisions you make based on the Service. Force Majeure: Not liable for events outside our control (disasters, war, pandemics, outages, third-party failures). Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limits; where prohibited, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
9. Third-party Services and Integrations
Integrations include Stripe (payments), Google (OAuth/AdSense), OpenAI (readings), Supabase (backend). Third-party terms/privacy apply; we are not responsible for them. Ads/Analytics: Google AdSense/Analytics load only after consent; you may opt out of personalized ads at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. Tokens: OAuth tokens are revoked after login and not retained (or are encrypted in transit). Data Sharing: We share necessary data with processors as in the Privacy Policy; we do not sell personal info. External Links: We are not responsible for external sites’ content or practices.
10. User Conduct and Community Guidelines
Be respectful; no harassment/hate/discrimination/bullying. If using community features: stay relevant/constructive, do not share others’ private info, report issues, follow moderators. Feedback is welcome and may be used without obligation/compensation. We may remove content or suspend/ban users who violate these Terms or standards.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
See our Privacy Policy (https://destinypal.com/policy/privacy) for what we collect, how we use/protect data, your rights/choices, cookies/tracking, international transfers, and advertising practices. Data Security: We use industry-standard safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security. You must protect your credentials. Breach Notice: We will notify you of data breaches as required by law.
12. Termination and Account Deletion
Your Right: Delete your account anytime via settings or by contacting rheeco88@gmail.com. Effect: Paid access ends immediately; no refunds for the current billing period; some data may be retained if required by law. Our Right: We may suspend/terminate immediately for violations, fraud/abuse, legal requirements, or service discontinuation. Notice: We will try to give notice when feasible; immediate termination may occur for serious issues. Survival: IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute resolution survive termination.
13. Modifications to Terms and Service
We may modify Terms at any time. Effective: immediately for new users; after notice for existing users (7 days minor, 30 days material). Continued use after effective date = acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service. We may add/modify/discontinue features, change pricing for new purchases, suspend for maintenance, or discontinue service with 60 days’ notice. We are not obliged to maintain specific features.
14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Governing Law: Laws of the Republic of Korea. Venue: Seoul Central District Court, unless mandatory consumer laws require otherwise. Informal Resolution: Contact rheeco88@gmail.com first for good-faith resolution. Class Action Waiver: Disputes must be brought individually where permitted by law. Consumer Rights: Statutory consumer rights remain; EU consumers may sue in their country of residence where applicable.
15. Indemnification
You will indemnify/defend/hold harmless DestinyPal, Paul Rhee, and affiliates/staff/agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your Service use/misuse, Terms violations, third-party rights violations, User Content, or decisions based on readings. We may assume exclusive defense at your expense.
16. Miscellaneous Provisions
Entire Agreement: These Terms, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy form the entire agreement. Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect the remainder. Waiver: Rights not enforced are not waived. Assignment: You may not assign; we may assign without notice. No Agency: No partnership/joint venture/employment/agency is created.
